The 14-Day Cloud Commit Audit
A fixed-fee diagnostic that establishes where your commitment stands, what a shortfall would mean under your agreement, and which planned purchases could reduce it economically.
- Who it's for
- Finance, IT, procurement and FinOps leaders with an AWS, Azure or Google Cloud commitment that consumption may not reach before the deadline, and with software renewals or planned purchases in the same window.
- Format
- Fixed fee · 14 days, starting when the agreed inputs and access are complete
- Scope
- The written scope sets which agreements, providers and renewal window are included.
- Pricing
- Fixed fee, agreed in writing
What we need from you
- The relevant cloud agreement and commitment terms, including amendments
- Billing and consumption exports for the commitment period to date
- Your software renewal calendar and planned purchases
- Existing marketplace purchases, and any limits your agreement places on marketplace contribution
- A named contact each from finance, IT and procurement
The value
A documented, evidence-based decision. The Audit may show that marketplace purchasing can close all of the gap, part of it, or none of it economically. Each is a useful answer, because it tells you where to act and what to raise with your provider before the deadline. The Audit does not guarantee savings or the removal of all exposure.
How it works
- Reconcile the position: committed amount, credited spend to date, run rate and forecast at the deadline.
- Read the terms: how your agreement measures the commitment, what a shortfall would trigger, and any marketplace limits or exclusions.
- Inventory planned purchases: software renewals and new purchases inside the window.
- Test eligibility: each purchase against the provider's current rules and your agreement, including timing and remaining eligible capacity.
- Compare economics: marketplace and direct purchase side by side, including price, terms, fees and other incremental costs.
- Plan and read out: prioritized actions with owners and deadlines, presented to finance, IT and procurement.
